Prayer request for next week

And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation, 21 but as it is written:
"To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand." Romans 15:20-21 (NKJV)

Please begin to pray for next week’s ministry in Chutiva, Ukraine. Chutiva is a regional center (like a county seat town) of around 6,000 people that is located about 45 minutes East of Poltava. It has never had a Baptist Church and only has about two other evangelical Churches in it now. One is a small Pentecostal Church of about 8 people. About two years ago the Ukrainian Baptist Union along with help from the IMB (ya’ll) and other sister Churches, began to try to plant a Church here. It is truly the First Baptist Church of Chutiva. God has blessed them very much and thanks to HIM them now have a building to meet in and a great Ukrainian family to lead them. Please pray for this family; Pastor Slavic, his wife Natasha and their two sons, are doing a great job and we are going to join with them next week, LORD willing, for a week long kids camp. Please pray specifically for this outreach. We will meet with the kids for about four hours a day and then invite them and their parents to worship on Sunday at the Church. Most Ukrainians are very suspicious of evangelical believers, especially Baptist. They were told many lies and horrible stories about Baptist during the Soviet Union and are still very untrusting of us sometimes, especially in some village settings, so please pray hard for this ministry. There have been many, many hours poured into this field in Chutiva over the last two years. God is using Pastor Slavic and his family to be a strong testimony of HIS Grace in this village. Please pray for the harvest in Chutiva. The photos are from some of last years ministries there.
