Today we were able to take part in a school camp in the area of Levada. This is a district in Poltava and is also where the Church we partner with (Salvation Church) is located. Please pray for the 60 or so kids that we were able to meet today at the English camp. We were able to share the Easter story with them and invite them to the weekly English club at the Church. We also sang and had lots of fun playing different American sports. Please pray for us as we will be going back to do more camps at this school next week, LORD willing.

Going back, LORD willing, please pray for us . . . .
Call to Me,
and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not
know. Jeremiah 33:3
There are so
many, many things in life that we are unsure of, things that we do not know. As believers we are called to “walk by faith
and not by sight” putting our trust in the unseen HOLY GOD, we step out in
faith and trust HIM, by HIS GRACE we are saved by the work of the LORD JESUS
CHRIST on the cross alone but it doesn’t stop there, we are called to live out
that same faith here on earth as a light and a witness to the world that HE is truly
risen. We don’t know how that will look
in our lives, what HE will call us to change about our lives, where HE will
call us to go, what HE will call us to do but nevertheless we continue to believe
and follow HIM. Calling on HIM
constantly to show us those great and mighty things, those directions, those
plans that HE has for us, those things we could never know on our own, apart from
HIS HOLY SPIRIT.
Eight years
ago our family could have never imagined getting the privilege and calling to
live in Ukraine for the whole summer, we were so amazed and unsure about what
we were about to step into. Now as we
begin to make plans for our eighth summer in Poltava Ukraine we can just look
back and say Thank YOU LORD for YOUR unimaginable love and faithfulness. We would like to ask all of you to call on HIM,
to pray for us and HIS will in our lives for the upcoming summer. LORD willing we are planning to leave at the
end of May and stay until August. For the next few months we will be preparing
sports equipment, crafts supplies, ideas for ESL classes so please share any
ideas you may have with us. GOD bless
and thanks so much for your prayers and support! Don’t be afraid to follow HIM, HE is
faithful!

Back in Mississippi . . . . .
I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have been so
faithful to pray for us over the last few months that we have been in Ukraine. Now we are back at home in Mississippi, we arrived
in Ripley about 3:30am Tuesday morning. After
we get settled back into life here I hope to post more stories from this summer
in Ukraine that I didn’t have time to share while we were there. GOD bless and please continue to pray for us
and especially all the people of Ukraine!

Photos from today at "RED WAY ". . . .
We have been working in the RED WAY area of Poltava for about two months meeting with kids and teens every Friday. There is no organized Church in this region but there are a couple of familes in this area who are believers that we work with and five kids have been saved here over the summer. Please pray for them and for their growth in Christ as well as future ministries there. Below are some photos from Fridays meeting, our last meeting with them for the summer.

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
This week is
our last full week of ministry for the summer.
We have been busy going to our daily ministries at the hospitals, the
three villages that we visit weekly and different areas inside the city of
Poltava where we do kids day camps. As
in years past we brought as many Frisbees as we could get into our
baggage. But these are not just any
regular Frisbees, they are very special, they are called slip discs. There is a ministry in Arkansas (http://www.slipdiscministries.com/) that makes this disc with the
Gospel on the inside top of the disc.
There are several choices but we have been using one that tells the
story of the prodigal son in Luke 15 (in Russian) and the gives a presentation
of the Gospel and how to be saved by GOD’S Grace. These are wonderful ministry tools for children,
youth, and adults alike. They will pass
through many hands over the years and can be read by so many family and friends
of the kids when they take them home.
Please pray for each person who has received a disc this summer, that
they will be like that lost son and realize their spiritual condition, then
remember that the FATHER loves them, then repent and turn to HIM with an
attitude of brokenness and humility and be saved. May GOD bless you and your families, please
remember us in your prayers.
